PARENTS:

YOU ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT INFLUENCE IN YOUR CHILD'S LIFE!

You are the first line of defense when it comes to your child's drug use or drinking. And you do make a difference. Nearly two thirds of teenagers see great risk of upsetting their parents or losing the respect of family and friends if they smoke, drug or drink. Most teens who do not use drugs and alcohol credit their parents as a major factor in that decision.

Kids who learn from their parents or caregivers about drugs and alcohol are less likely to become users.
