There is no charge for having a business or event listed on the Family Freindly Page, however, criteria for having a business or event placed on this page is that there can be no alcohol or tobacco sold or provided on the premises. All activities must be void of conduct unsuitable for children, and we reserve the right to refuse the posting of any event that is decided to be an un-friendly family event. Several evenings each week our local youth are involved in activities and games at the Calhoun Middle High School. Families are encouraged to involve their children early in the extra curricular events so they may become familiar with the school facility, and eager to become involved when it's their turn. The Calhoun County Park located a few miles South of Grantsville on Route 16 South Calhoun Highway, offers family fun by way of breath taking scenery, playgrounds, putt-putt golf, volleyball and basketball courts, walking trails, and golfing. Park hours are seasonal but accommodating for most families.

The City of Grantsville's Municipal Park offers tennis courts, playground and picnic shelters with BBQ pits all free to use!
The park is located on Route 7, approximately 1/2 mile from the intersection of Route 16/7.
